The Stofa Rosa Ranch was started in 1996. We derived our name from the great Ponderosa. Our interest in Red Brangus was due to helping Jose with Cox Excalibur at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I fell in love with a young bull named CX Powerdrive 269G.

I told Jose that I wanted to buy that bull before he ever showed him. We made the deal and Powerdrive (known as Little Red) went on to win Calf Champion and Won Yearling Champion the following year. He is now the standing bull at the Stofa Rosa Ranch and he is no longer "Little Red", he is "Big Red".

When we got into the business I was encouraged not to buy just any animal, but to save my money and buy the best. I have tried to do that.

We have increased our herd with great quality.
